Threads

Threads is an immersive stop motion animation exploring race, identity and belonging with artworks and stories currently featured at Melbourne Museum and the Immigration Museum.

Where does our history come from? And how do we reclaim culture amid loss?

This five-minute experience touches on joy, loss, memory, family while situated in place.

Threads is an immersive stop motion animation exploring race, identity and belonging with artworks and stories of Melbourne based artists Maria Birch-Morunga and Kate Robinson.

The exhibition is currently being expanded to include a gallery component, that will sit alongside the video work at the Immigration Museum.
